Teleforums
Teleforums: A virtual town-hall style meeting.

Want impact?
In one hour, you can interact LIVE with thousands, tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of constituents, voters, or members of your organization at the touch of a button!

On average, The Prosper Group’s TeleForum delivers a 15 minute attention span - almost 17 times the average length of stay of Web viewers and more than 36 times the attention span given to television advertising spots.

Here's how it works.

  • Personal invites are sent to your list of participants. No matter the size of the list
  • Participants are then connected to a live call in town hall format
  • Hosts have an open forum to discuss any topic - from political issues to campaign organizing
  • Participants can transfer to multiple locations or make donations with the press of a button
  • Event activity is viewed and controlled via an easy-to-use, Windows and Mac friendly platform via Internet Explorer or Firefox browser that does not require software installation
  • Dialogue is recorded and participant data is saved
  • Participants can leave voice messages to make sure their voice is heard
  • Dynamic reporting details the call
  • Call is recorded for future use in other mediums

Case studies.

Congressional Office – Official Business

A Congressman reaches out to communicate with his constituents once a month. He sends out a call to 29,000 people in his district reaching 9,000 of them live and 18,000 on their answering machine. He has sent out a press release and a pre-call so people are expecting the call and he has almost 4,000 people join into the call. He discusses issues like Iraq, illegal immigration, and health care reform directly with his constituents. 216 participants went into the question and answer queue to ask him a question, and 25 of those people went live. He asked them a poll while the call was going on to which he received almost 275 responses, helping him get a better idea of how his district felt about the recent immigration bill in the Senate. The call lasted an hour and fifteen minutes and at the end of the call, he received 80 recorded voicemails from people praising him for his efforts and asking questions of his office.

Campaign Capital Call

A presidential candidate holds a Capital Call to engage voters in a discussion about his stance on current issues, to raise money for his campaign, and to find out who would like to help him out by volunteering or putting up a yard sign. He calls out to 43,000 people reaching 10,000 live and 21,000 on their answering machines. He has also given out a toll-free number for people to call in during the conference and has almost 40 inbound callers. 5,200 people joined in the call on this night and he has 13 participants go live engaging them in discussion. 80 people went into the question and answer queue. Throughout the call, he asks people for their support. His goal is to have individuals donate enough money to pay for local radio spots. This goal is accomplished as 19 people donate money and he collects over $5,000 in donations. He also conducts a poll asking the audience to press 1 on their phones if they would like a yard sign and 2 if they would like to volunteer. He receives almost 250 responses to which his office can follow up the next day. He conducted this call while in the car driving to his next fundraising event and was able to reach out to a total of 32,000 people, recruit 200 new volunteers, and raise over $5,000.

Non-Profit

One of the largest grassroots organizations working towards eliminating global poverty decides that they want to embrace new technology to communicate with their members on their big kick-off event night. They have an elite guest list with a well-known celebrity, the founder of the organization, and 2 former Senators to host the call. Dialing out to a list of 79,000 people across the country, they reach 15,000 live and 38,000 on their answering machines. They have almost 10,000 people join into the conference to discuss global poverty and their plan to help in the upcoming year. They take 6 live callers, with 191 entering into the question and answer queue. Almost 450 people leave supportive voicemails at the end of the conference. The call generates excitement all across the country and for the people that missed the call, they sent out an email reaching millions with a recording of the conference so people could listen in.

Persuasion

One of the largest retail super centers hosts a call to talk with local residents about a planned store in their community. The goal is to educate these residents on the benefits of a new store and to gather support for the necessary approval. They called out to a list of 11,000 people, reached 2,500 live and 5,200 on their answering machines. Almost 400 people joined the call. 52 went in to the Q and A and 15 went live. Conducted a poll to see how the community felt about the new store – 42% approved, 8% did not approve and 50% were undecided.
